Over the past forty years, Global Steering Systems has evolved from a division of a high precision bearing company to a stand-alone, privately-held company with operations around the world. At GSS, our focus is on continuous improvement of products, processes and employees for the benefit of all GSS stakeholders. GSS provides solutions for the most demanding steering applications.

With extensive years of technical capability in the area of steering development and engineering, GSS is superior by far in the capability to deliver customer service, technical support and high quality products. With an expanding global footprint, GSS has a physical presence in a multitude of geographic regions in order to expedite the delivery of services and solutions to the automotive markets around the world.

A Worldwide Strategy

Global Steering Systems has an ongoing strategy to globalize all GSS services to ensure the same quality standards with quicker distribution to key regional demographics. Headquartered in the United States, GSS has opened our facility in Changshu, China. GSS has broken ground in Opole, Poland for its European operation to be on line in late 2015. GSS Brazil is also in line to commence operations in late 2015. GSS is a global leader and has the global presence to prove it.

We are committed to developing, training and embedding a safety culture in all of our associates and actively develop and improve our safety processes to achieve the highest levels of safety standards to provide and maintain a safe workplace environment.

Training Policies

Each GSS Associate is put through a customized training program and New Hire Orientation program to ensure they have the tools needed for success. We partner with local Educational Institutions to develop internship programs, apprenticeships, and higher education to continuously develop our most important assets, our people! We invest in our employees and see the value in continued Safety and Ergonomics training, product and process quality training for our safety critical manufacturing practices. On the job training is a daily activity with our organization and underlines our practices for continuous improvements.
